This is a syndrome that shows itself in signs such as excess acid, ulcers in unusual places and diarrhoea, arising from tumours inside or outside the pancreas that secrete large amounts of the hormone gastrin. At endoscopy, plentiful ulcers are seen in the stomach and the duodenum.
