What this site processes
This website is an information archive. There is no membership, no cookie and no visitor tracking tool; reading these pages causes no personal data of yours to be collected or recorded by us. Your information is processed only if you fill in the form on the contact page.
The visit count in the footer
The footer shows a total number of visits. It is a single total that increases by one each time a page is opened; nothing about your visit is kept or stored by us — no identifier, no device or browser record, no cookie and no session data. No visitor can be traced from the number, because no record of a visitor is created.
The number is held on the same infrastructure the site is published on — Google’s — and the database is in Belgium. When you open a page your browser sends that server a request, and as with any internet request your IP address is part of it. This is what already happens when you open any page here: the whole site is served from Google’s hosting.
When you fill in the contact form
The form asks only for these: name and surname, telephone number, email address, country, your preferred language and how you would like to be answered. The colleague form also asks for specialty and institution. This information is processed solely to consider your message and to reply to you.
The form does not ask for health information
There is deliberately no field in which to write your complaint or your condition, and you cannot upload a document. Health data is special category personal data under Article 6 of the Turkish Data Protection Law; this form does not collect data of that kind. You share your complaint and your test results at the consultation.
Your message is not stored
When you send the form, your information is not written to a database; it is delivered directly to the physician’s email inbox and the only copy is there. Nobody but the physician sees it and it is not shared with third parties.
The route your message takes
The form delivers to the physician’s email account through Google Apps Script. Your message is therefore processed on the servers of the physician’s email provider (Google), and those servers may be outside Türkiye. The same is true if you write to him by email directly.
Email is not a secure channel
If you prefer to write directly, you do not have to include your health information; you can leave your contact details and share the rest at the consultation.
Medical images on this site
The endoscopic images on this site come from the archive of Kadıköy Endoscopy Center and contain nothing that could identify a patient.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of the Turkish Data Protection Law you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it is, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to request that processing be restricted. You can send such requests to the address above.
