A normal colonoscopy means no significant disease visible to the eye was found in the large bowel. However, not every bowel condition can be seen at colonoscopy.
Symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, wind, diarrhoea or constipation can come from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), food intolerances or other causes.
If your symptoms continue, it is recommended that you see your gastroenterologist so that the cause can be looked into and the right treatment decided.
