Threadworm (Pinworm)

This is one of the worms passed on to other people through eating food prepared without proper washing and cleaning. It is seen more often in children and can sometimes come out of the back passage and cause itching. It is met with often even in the most refined circles.

When treatment is given, it should be given not only to the person infected but to every member of the family they live with, since by then it has long since been passed to the others. Indeed, the treatment should be repeated once more 15–20 days later.
