A brunneroma is an uncommon condition appearing as hypertrophy of the Brunner glands normally found in the first part of the duodenum (the bulb), or as an adenoma of those glands. It generally calls for follow-up and stays as it is; there is no worsening. There are those who hold that it has to do with Helicobacter pylori. The lesion may be seen to shrink as a result of treatment.
